What is ProBed?
Natural bedding, designed with horses in mind
ProBed is an equine bedding made from chopped and shredded rape haulm. Soft and highly absorbent, it can be used with or without rubber matting and is suitable for both conventional mucking out and deep litter systems.
Made from plant material rather than wood, it also breaks down readily on the muck heap.

How to Use
Getting started with ProBed
1
Start a new bed
For a standard 12 × 12 ft stable, start with 4-5 bales of ProBed. Spread the bedding evenly and make the bed quite deep. ProBed can be used with or without rubber matting.

Daily maintenance
Skip out droppings each day and remove wet areas as required. Alternatively, ProBed can be managed as a deep litter bed, with wet areas removed less frequently.

Top up
Add fresh ProBed as needed to replace the bedding removed during mucking out and maintain a good, comfortable depth.
